Job/Person Summary

Abbotts Ann CE Primary is a popular small village school on the outskirts of Andover. We have a vacancy for a Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant to work with our existing team to support children across lunchtime starting as soon as possible. We wish to recruit a friendly, caring person who enjoys working with children. You will need to be confident, able to work with children with varying needs, a good communicator and able to work well in a team.

The successful candidate will:

Be proactive and promote 'positive play'
Be a good communicator, great team player and have a good sense of humour
Actively engage with children to ensure playtimes are enjoyable
Be able to work well with others and on their own
Have high expectations of children's behaviour
Have an understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures (training given)

Duties will include:

Assisting children in the dinner hall
Supervision of children to ensure their safety
Organising and playing games or activities to help develop the children’s play
Supporting the other Lunchtime Supervisors in enabling successful lunchtimes
Building positive relationship with the children
Administering basic first aid. (Training will be given).
