Samuel Cody School is delighted to announce the opening of its brand new purposely designed SEMH unit, Cody Oaks, in September 2022. The new unit is an impressive addition to an already well-resourced school site, and provides a unique opportunity in the north of the county. The unit will eventually house ninety students, from year 5 to year 11, but will grow over three years to capacity. This is a great opportunity for someone with SEMH experience and strong teaching skills to make a difference to our brand new cohort of students.
Working with the Headteacher and Head of unit, you will actively contribute to the management of students attending the unit and work cohesively with its staff team, delivering a taught curriculum that supports learning in a safe and inclusive environment, promoting respect, honesty, communication and teamwork. Teachers applying for these roles need to have the ability to teach up to GCSE standard in a number of subjects, to include a combination of any of the following: English, Maths, Science, PE (KS2/3/4), Humanities, Art, IT, Music, Technology and Food Tech (KS2/3/4). All teachers will have their own tutor group and classroom base. See full job description for more information.
