Hours of Work: Full time, term time only 5.5hrs per day, 5 days a week

Foundry Lane is a thriving 3 form entry Primary school in the heart of Southampton. We are looking for a dedicated, kind and resilient Learning Support Assistant to join our team.

The successful candidate will be working on a one to one basis supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and children who can, at times, exhibit challenging behaviour.  They will also be part of our NEST team – Nurture & Emotional Support Team.

For this position you will need to be able to demonstrate a broad range of skills as an Learning Support Assistant who has worked successfully with SEN pupils for a minimum of two years.  Successful candidates will need to fully commit to Foundry Lane’s values and ethos and be able to articulate examples of how these have been demonstrated in previous roles.

Applicants should be prepared to work with students who occasionally exhibit challenging behaviour, have a commitment to their education and welfare and have a fair and professional approach to adhering to School Policies.

You will need to be resilient, empathetic and caring whilst concurrently setting safe boundaries for acceptable behaviour.
