Portchester Community School is looking for a positive and self-motivated individual to join our Science team.
This role will include the preparation, organisation and collection of resources for lessons as well as maintaining the practical equipment. An integral role in the department, a technician is also expected to keep up to date with all the relevant health and safety requirements. All of these responsibilities are crucial to ensure the continued success of the Science department.
The postholder will also be responsible for fulfilling the safeguarding requirements of the role and adhering to the school’s safeguarding policy.
Role specific training will be given and prior experience is not essential but a willingness to want to learn is vital.
GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in English and mathematics is essential as is proven ability in the sciences. Relevant technician experience, preferably in a school environment would be an advantage.
