Federation Site Assistant

Salary Details: Grade B Actual Salary £10,033 - £10,203 (FTE £18,562 - £18,877)

Hours of Work: 20 hours per week (some flexibility required as to when hours are worked during school holidays, there may also be potential to increase hours in future)

Job/Person Summary

We are a federation of two special schools in Fareham, Heathfield and St Francis, which are situated next door to each other. We provide for pupils with a wide range of complex learning difficulties, which include autistic spectrum disorder, mobility and health needs, communication or emotional and behavioural needs.


We are at an exciting time in our partnership and we are looking for an enthusiastic site assistant to join our newly formed site team. The post holder will work closely with the Federation Site Manager to manage our site and buildings to the highest possible standard.


We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, friendly, reliable and resourceful individual with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude, who can take responsibility for maintaining a clean and safe site.


We are looking for a professional who:

Previous experience of working in schools would be beneficial but not essential.  This role would suit someone with excellent DIY skills in order to undertake a range of repairs, maintenance and decorating.
