To start as soon as possible.
We are looking to appoint a warm, caring, nurturing and empathetic Learning Support Assistant to join our great staff team.
This is an amazing opportunity to make a huge difference to the life of a young person in our school. We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 alongside children with additional educational needs. The support would be for 31.25 hours per week, working 8.30am – 3.20pm Monday – Friday (term time only). This role includes half an hour of Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant, where you will support our children in the dining hall and leading play.
Primarily, this role will be class-based working alongside children in Year R in the first instance. Experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or QTS is an advantage. You will work under the direct guidance of the class teacher and will be supported by the school's highly experienced SENDCo/Inclusion Leader.
You will need to be flexible, motivated and be prepared to use your initiative, working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo. You will have knowledge and experience of working with children, patience, a sense of humour and a passion for supporting young children in their learning and life skills. If you want to ‘make a difference’ and have high expectations for yourself and the children in your care, then we would love to hear from you!
