Are you ready for a new challenge?
A ‘Federation Deputy’ is a different role in school leadership. It is more than a ‘deputy’ in the traditional Head/Deputy sense and different from a ‘Head of School’ in a Federation. Our new Federation Deputy Head will be working across St Thomas’ Infant School and Woolton Hill Junior School with a prime focus on modelling developing and improving learning and teaching; together with the management of assessment, implementation of the Federation Improvement Plan and practical application of the school curriculum.
This is a very exciting moment to be joining the Woolton Hill Schools – a brand new Federation. We are looking for an experienced school leader that is able to help shape the vison and values and join a team that is developing a continuous high quality education for our fantastic pupils as they make the journey through their primary education.
Do you have a passion for inclusive education and Special Educational Needs? Our Federation Deputy will combine with the role of SENDCo and ensure the needs of all pupils are met. While experience of leadership within the area of SEN provision is essential, the Federation will support the successful candidate if they need to achieve the SENDCo accreditation award.
A full commitment to continuous professional development is needed and this would be an ideal opportunity for a candidate who aspires to a future headship of their own.
Visits are warmly encouraged. We would love to show you what makes Woolton Hill such a great place to work. For further information and an application pack please contact the school on 01635 253364 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Woolton Hill Junior School and Hampshire County Council are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks along with other relevant employment checks.
