Compton All Saints’ C of E Primary School is a small, lively school with a family feel on the outskirts of Winchester. The school has great links to the M3 and the city of Winchester, and its setting is surprisingly rural, with lovely grounds and good facilities. It is friendly and welcoming, with staff who are committed to providing a broad and stimulating curriculum, so that every child can shine.
Compton All Saints’ is looking for an enthusiastic and high-quality teacher of national curriculum music to work across the school on Wednesdays, when all the teaching staff have their PPA time. You will be joining a school where music has always been of high quality and a source of great pleasure for adults and children alike.
We are looking for someone who is familiar with the requirements of the national curriculum for music, who will enthuse and inspire our children with a love of music, playing and singing in different genres and from different cultures and times. We seek a person who is not daunted by the idea of teaching across the whole of the primary age range in one day, and who enjoys working as part of a small-school team. In due course (and for appropriate remuneration) there may be opportunities to take on other music activities such as organising and leading orchestra or recorder sessions during lunchtimes.
Compton All Saints’ is a happy and purposeful place in which to work and relationships between staff, children and parents/carers are excellent.
This post could be suitable for an NQT or a skilled and experienced HLTA, as well as a qualified teacher.
Please contact the office on email@example.com to request an application pack or to arrange to come and see us. We would warmly welcome visits so that you can see and appreciate all that Compton has to offer.
Compton All Saints Church of England Primary School and Hampshire County Council are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks along with other relevant employment checks.
