HISP Multi Academy Trust is a relatively new Multi Academy Trust (MAT) having just reached the end of our first year. Two schools, Portswood Primary and Tanners Brook Primary, joined Thornden Secondary in the HISP MAT on 1 July 2020 to form a geographically close Trust based in the southern part of Hampshire and Southampton, which we intend to grow as we move forward. Our three schools cover nursery to 16 and are reinforced by a strong and supportive central MAT team.
To support our growing MAT, we would like to appoint a highly motivated and skilled Trust Network Manager to lead and manage a small and friendly existing team of three IT Technicians based across our three sites. The role would suit an individual who is perhaps already working as a Senior Technician, who enjoys the hands-on operational element of their work, has a passion for technology, and whose work ethic is to drive high standards of performance whilst leading by example.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in delivering an IT function to the highest standard, and constantly striving to seek process and system improvements as well as enhanced user experience. With experience of the day-to-day management of the technical planning, operational delivery and on-going development of all aspects of the MAT’s IT systems and major IT projects, the Network Manager will work closely with our Senior Leadership Teams to support School Improvement Plans. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are critical to the role, as is the ability to engage with staff at all levels, students, Trustees and Governors too.
As well as understanding client/server-based applications, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate a strong knowledge of the general and specific IT health and safety issues relating to work, as well as having a good awareness of safeguarding in a school setting. Further, by virtue of being part of a MAT, the successful candidate will be expected to not only keep our schools at the forefront of IT developments in education but also to support the Director of Digital Strategy with the Trust’s on-going IT strategy and, under the direction of the Director of Digital Strategy, work to progress the aims of the MAT.
Essentially, this is a varied role where no two days will present the same challenges.
If you are looking for a move to a highly rewarding and supportive environment where you will be able to influence the development of the IT provision whilst being given support to progress your own professional development, please review our Job Description and Person Specification and complete our support staff application form. These documents can all be downloaded from our website at www.hispmat.org/trust-vacancies.
Please email your completed application form to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that CV's will not be accepted. No agency applications either please.
Our deadline for receipt of completed applications is 25/04/2021 at 5:00pm.
Please note that we are committed to providing equality of opportunity at all stages of the recruitment and selection process, and ensuring that candidates are treated fairly and lawfully throughout the process.
The HISP Multi Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks along with other relevant employment checks.
