Job/Person Summary

We are looking to appoint a KS2 class teacher who has good or outstanding teaching experience across the primary phase and is now looking for their next step into leadership.

As a Maths middle leader we would love to support you in developing your knowledge and skills in Maths strategy and improvement, teaching and curriculum, leading with impact, working in partnership as well as managing resources and risks.

We are looking for a teacher who is ready for the next level of leadership who can demonstrate; 

• A commitment to whole school maths improvement
• Has superb maths subject knowledge and understanding from Year R to 6
• Is able to work in collaboration with staff from Year R to 6 and has experience of working with those across all primary year groups.
• Show personal drive, awareness, integrity and resilience.
• Desirable to have completed NPML or similar qualification-or be able to talk about an extensive whole school improvement initiative which has led to improved outcomes/would engage with the NPML or equivalent leadership programme.

We would support you in your leadership role to develop professionally with support and coaching as well as offer you some release time in order to carry out your leadership responsibilities-as well as being a KS2 class teacher.

The role of Maths lead is a core subject and holds middle leader responsibility.  It will include some release time and expectations for you to attend Governors and SLT meetings regularly.  It holds a TLR 2 payment and job description which would be part of your performance management process.
