Froxfield CofE Primary and Pre-School is the sole provider of Early Years education for 2 – 4 year olds in Froxfield. The pre-school, situated in the village hall, is managed by the school and works very much in partnership with the school staff, with almost all its children remaining at the school through their primary years.
Froxfield is a beautiful village situated in the South Downs National Park, only three miles from Petersfield. The pre-school benefits from excellent indoor and outdoor spaces as well as access to the neighbouring village field and amenities. We are a small, close-knit setting, with a maximum of 12 children at each session, enabling staff, children and their families to work closely together.
We are looking to appoint an experienced and well-qualified Early Years practitioner to provide 1:1 support for a child in receipt of Early Years SEN Inclusion Funding. This support will ensure we are able to best meet the physical, emotional and developmental needs of the child.
The ideal candidate will be a dedicated Early Years practitioner, with a desire to create a nurturing, loving environment for the children, where they feel happy and safe. The successful candidate will work closely with the setting manager to provide activities, support and supervision for the child, implementing recommendations from outside agencies as appropriate. Previous experience of using Makaton would be an advantage, but training can be given.
Applicants must be trained to at least Level 2 in Childcare and Education (or equivalent) with a proven record of working in Early Years education. In return, we offer a term time only contract, employment under Local Authority conditions and excellent support and links with the school, its staff and resources.
Please contact the school on 01730 827251 or email email@example.com for more information and to receive an application pack including a copy of the job description and person specification.
Froxfield Church of England Primary School and Hampshire County Council are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks along with other relevant employment checks.
