The Hamble School is a good school with a clear direction on how we want to improve. As part of a growing Creative Arts Faculty, the Drama Department is committed to providing students with an outstanding appreciation of Drama and Theatrical Design, as well as developing creative and inquisitive minds who aspire to excellence in their practical performance work. We currently teach the AQA GCSE in Drama at Key Stage 4 and take responsibility for a whole school musical production once per year. As part of the department there is an expectation of staff to contribute to the wider life of the school, offering projects and rehearsals to compliment this vision and support the Arts Team.
We are looking for a strong classroom practitioner who can inspire students. They will have excellent subject knowledge and the ability to make learning exciting, engaging yet challenging in the build-up leading to examination success. The successful candidate will teach Drama at both KS3 and KS4 level.
