The Hamble School is a good school with a clear direction on how we want to improve. The school takes great pride in the high standard of pastoral care that is provided for its students. Our philosophy places considerable importance on ensuring that students are in a positive learning environment, enjoy coming to school, love learning, are resilient and participate fully in school life. The Pastoral Team comprises of Heads of Year, Assistant Heads of Year, our Harbour Team, Medical Officer, Attendance Officer, Admissions Officer, Administration Assistants and a School Counsellor, all of whom are overseen by the Deputy Headteacher.
We are seeking to appoint a talented teacher and an enthusiastic and dedicated leader who, from April 2021, will lead and continue to drive forward a year group. The post requires the successful candidate to lead and manage a group of tutors ensuring a high-quality delivery of our tutor programme as well as ensuring the best possible outcome for students both academically and personally. The successful candidate would be a key member of the Safeguarding Team within the school ensuring that students are well supported.
