The Hamble School is a good school with a clear direction on how we want to improve. Our success over the past three years has led to an increase in numbers – we currently have 1100 students and are consistently oversubscribed. Physical Education is at the heart of the school. We are blessed with many amazing facilities, that include; an Olympic standard gymnastics centre, large sports hall, astro-turf, field, outdoor tennis and netball courts; and the school is also fortunate to have access to the leisure facilities at Everyone Active. We are also proud of our extra-curricular programme that provides a balanced and well-rounded provision for students, giving them plenty of opportunities to complete at level 1, 2 and 3 competitions.
We also continue to celebrate our recent exam success in BTEC Sport, BTEC Dance and GCSE PE with grades continually above national average and positive SPI in all three qualifications.
We are seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Teacher of PE, from September 2021, whose motivation and drive will support and enhance our innovative and successful team. This role would also suit Newly Qualified Teachers.
