Here is a fantastic opportunity to start 2021 with a change and a chance to make a difference to the children, parents and staff of two primary schools as our new Business & Administration Manager. This is a new post, created in response to how the two schools in our federation are working together more; so as to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
The Business & Administration Manager will be a member of the Executive Leadership Team and will play a highly influential role in the organisation, management and development of our two smaller than average Church of England primary schools. Working with the Executive Headteacher and Executive Deputy Headteacher, the Business & Administration Manager will take a lead in Finance, Personnel, management of Support Staff, Site Staff and Health & Safety, as well as directly line managing two members of the federation admin team. It’s a full time, permanent position on a 52 week contract; perfect for an experienced and confident person, looking for a rewarding challenge.
Ampfield and John Keble CofE Primary Schools joined together as a federation in September 2013. The current Executive Headteacher started in April 2014 and has been working on building and strengthening both schools with the Christian Values of Love, Forgiveness, Trust and Hope at the heart of all we do. Over time, we have created several cross-federation roles including: Site Manager, Cleaner, SENCO, Pupil Premium Teacher, Executive Deputy Headteacher and Admin Assistant. The Head and the Deputy already work across both schools and the introduction of the Business & Admin Manager will complete the Governing Body’s vision for strong, effective and consistent federation leadership.
Although you will be based in the main office at John Keble School, your work will be for both schools and you will spend time at Ampfield School too. (It is only 2 miles away.)The recently appointed Admin Assistant works mornings at Ampfield and afternoons at John Keble. There is also a Senior Admin Assistant who works, full-time, at John Keble. You have the opportunity to create and build your own ‘federation admin team’ where everyone works together for the good of all of the families and children in our care.
Do get in touch if you would like to know more about this exciting role. Please ask to speak to Mr Roe (Executive Headteacher) or Mr Ware (Executive Deputy Headteacher); either will be very happy to answer your questions.
If you would like to visit (compliant with social distancing rules), please speak to the office staff at John Keble, who will be able to arrange a suitable time for you.
All of the information and documentation you will need to make an application can be found on this web page. We do not accept CVs so you must complete the HCC application form for us to process your application. You must also ensure that you provide details of your employment from secondary school and give reasons for any gaps in employment.
John Keble Church of England Primary School and Hampshire County Council are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks along with other relevant employment checks.
