We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, creative, patient and flexible Learning Support Assistant to join our LSA team and support a child with an EHCP. As a school we pride ourselves on our caring, supportive and inclusive ethos; we really believe in the importance of building relationships with our children to enable them to flourish.
In this role at Smannell and Enham you would need to demonstrate your flexibility as well as showing that you have the ability to use your initiative and work independently. Most importantly you will be committed to supporting and developing children’s learning. The role will entail supporting children in their learning, in small groups or on a 1:1 basis.
You will also be required to liaise closely with the teaching team as well as the school’s Inclusion Leader providing them with feedback about children’s learning. You may also be required to deliver, monitor and review individualised programmes of support.
Maths and English to GCSE or equivalent is essential as is computer literacy; evidence of any further relevant training would be an advantage as would experience of supporting children with speech and language or social communication needs. This is a full time post and would be in place while we have children with an EHCP.
