Salary Details: £15,452 - £15,712 actual (£18,065 - £18,371 FTE)
Hours of Work: Full time – 37 hours per week, term time only, 8.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 3.30pm on Friday, some flexibility may be required on occasion

At The Hamble School, we are a happy and ambitious school, excited about the future of education and determined to achieve “outstanding”. We work as a team and care greatly about the success of all our students including SEND students, with the aim of ‘Achieving Excellence Together’.
We have a vacancy in our SEND Department to support students with a range of Special Educational Needs at KS3/KS4 in a mainstream context. The post holder will work with students who have learning, social and physical difficulties and support them across the curriculum.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate enthusiasm, resilience, initiative, good time management, patience and a passion for working with and assisting young people to learn.
Applicants must have proven literacy and numeracy skills, equivalent to GCSE Grade C and above. Written communication must be a particular strength. Experience of working in a secondary school would be advantageous as would experience of working with students with communication and language issues and disabilities.
Applicants should be willing to attend manual handling training and specific training to meet individual student needs.
