This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly successful and dynamic team of teaching staff in the role of Teacher of Maths. We are a good school with a clear direction on how we want to improve. At the heart of everything we do is a deep commitment to improving the life chances of all young people, helping them to achieve the best possible outcomes and this desire is encapsulated in our motto: ‘Achieving Excellence Together’. Our success over the past three years has led to an increase in student numbers - we currently have 1050 students and are looking to expand to over 1100 students in September 2020.
The Maths Department has been particularly successful, with 83% of students attaining a 9-4 grade and a provisional P8 grade of +0.3, and this is an opportunity to join and continue to build on the excellent progress already made. At the heart of this success is our ambition for our students, supported by a strong sense of teamwork. You would be working in an established department where continual improvement is the norm and engagement with research is high.
We are dedicated to offering the right candidate ongoing professional development.
