We wish to appoint a Special Needs Assistant to work in Year 1 from December 2019 (or earlier if available) to provide support for a key child. The post will be a mixture of working with both an individual EHCP child, small groups in class support and overseeing interventions of children with SEN. Previous experience of supporting a child with special needs is essential. You will be qualified to at least NVQ2 (or equivalent or be training accordingly) in a childcare or teaching assistant qualification and have good literacy and numeracy skills.

The post requires the successful applicants to work with the Class Teacher, Support Staff, SENCOs, Outside Agencies and Parents and Carers. Applicants should therefore have excellent communication skills and have a proven record of working effectively as part of a team.
