Are you interested in becoming a teacher? As a School-Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) provider, we have the experience and capacity to deliver outstanding training for the next generation of outstanding teachers.
Across our alliance, we work with some of the best secondary schools in Hampshire. You will be training with knowledgeable and enthusiastic teachers who are committed to education and are leaders in their own fields. If you complete the course successfully, you will be awarded Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).

All applications for Initial Teacher Training (ITT) courses are made via the 'Apply' system administered by the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS).
SCITT (tuition fee): You will find these vacancies listed on UCAS under provider code 1X9 (Hampshire LEARN SCITT Partnership). For 2020/21 our tuition fees will be £9,000 for non-salaried trainees. Applicants may be eligible for a bursary or scholarship deepening on their degree classification and chosen specialist subject.
School Direct (salaried): You will find these vacancies listed on UCAS under provider code 16P (Hampshire LEARN SCITT Partnership (School Direct)). Trainees on the salaried programme are employed directly by our partnership schools, and often continue teaching in the school following training. School Direct (salaried) trainees are paid as an unqualified teacher, in line with the Department for Education guidelines.
All applicants must hold:
* If English is your second language you will need to demonstrate at interview the correct and fluent use of standard English, both spoken and written. During the programme, trainees are assessed against the Teachers' Standards for the award of Qualified Teacher Status and Teachers' Standard 3 requires teachers to: "Demonstrate an understanding of and take responsibility for promoting high standards of literacy, articulacy and the correct use of standard English, whatever the teacher's specialist subject."
Successful applicants will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at their own expense. Trainees are also obliged to complete and return the SCITT's Health Declaration form, leading to confirmation by the relevant Health Service for their fitness to teach.
