This is a fantastic opportunity to join the highly supportive community that is St Mary's Junior School. We welcome applications from experienced LSAs, as well as those looking to make the first step up the ladder.
We are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, flexible and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our hardworking and friendly team, starting September 2019. This post will include both work in the classroom as well as specific interventions for small groups and individuals in the mornings.
Please note that the post will also include daily lunchtime duties with a particular focus on encouraging positive play. If you enjoy using your initiative, have good literacy and numeracy skills and preferably have experience of supporting children's development and learning, then please apply.
The ideal candidate is someone who:
*Puts the needs of the children first
*Is committed to ensure that every child reaches their highest possible level of achievement
*Will be able to use initiative and work under the direction of the class teacher.
*Has the patience and imagination to help and inspire children with their learning
*Has a positive outlook and a good sense of humour
*Has GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above
*A relevant NVQ3 qualification or degree is desirable
