Calthorpe Park School is a highly successful place to learn and grow. In 2016/17 we completed a £13 million building and expansion project in order to accommodate the increase in our student numbers. The school is projected to continue to grow over a number of years creating many ongoing opportunities for staff. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Study Supervisor who is a committed team player and is willing to develop and learn new skills in this demanding yet hugely rewarding role.
This post would be ideal for a candidate interested in a teaching career in the future. Many of our previous post holders have progressed to teacher training, where this experience has proved invaluable.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth delivery of cover lessons through supervision of classes when regular teachers are not in school.
You will be dealing with students ranging from Year 7 – Year 11 of differing abilities and in different subjects. You will have a varied role within the school, supervising classes for short term absence, undertaking admin work when cover is light, assisting on school visits, and the opportunity to become involved in the wider school life if you choose to. Support and guidance will be given to the appointed person to ensure provision of a safe and productive learning environment for all students.
The successful candidate will hold GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade C as a minimum requirement.
