Salary Details: Grade D £15,650 - £17,589 (actual salary, depending on experience)

Hours of Work: 32.5 hours per week - 39 weeks per annum

Job/Person Summary

Required for September, this role provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience of working in schools by supervising classes and delivering set work during short-term absence of teachers. This will include lunchtime duties and administration support to the busy, successful PE faculty. This is a key role requiring a patient but assertive manner and the ability to deal with a range of situations. You will be an integral part of the PE faculty so an interest in sport is essential. Previous experience working in a sporting environment and a Level 2 Multi skills sports qualification is essential. 

The PE Technician part of the role will require you to prepare, organise and maintain materials and equipment within the PE Faculty for classroom use to enhance student learning and also to support the faculty in the administration of its thriving extracurricular provision and its evening events. 

You will need to have attained GCSE Maths and English Grade C (or equivalent). Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, as is the ability to work both as a team and independently.   Previous experience of working with young people is essential.
