The federation of Ampfield & John Keble Church of England Primary Schools is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring, hard-working and determined person to the post of Admin Officer to be based at Ampfield CofE Primary School.
The governing body is keen to offer this exciting opportunity for someone to work in our little school office as part of the federation’s admin team. Working closely with teachers, support staff and school leaders, this role gives the right person the opportunity to develop the school’s administrative service to parents and children, whilst benefiting from the support and guidance from the wider federation.
Working in a school office is a demanding role which can be very busy. It means that you have to multi-task and use your initiative to solve problems on the go. You never have a boring day when you work in a school and although you can be rushed off your feet one moment, our friendly staff, parents and children make it all worthwhile. As a very small school, all of our roles overlap and we end up all working together to get the best done for each of our children. This will mean that the Admin Officer role will have more interaction with children and some pastoral support required; it’s not a role for someone wanting to hide away in an office, away from children and parents!
This is a perfect opportunity for someone with experience of working in a school already as we will be expecting you to know how to use the IT systems (SIMS, Tucasi, IBC, Parent Mail, CPOMS, FPS) and processes (attendance, dinners, trips, banking, payroll, budget management) you will be responsible for on a day-to-day basis.
This position is advertised initially as a fixed-term contract for one year. This is because the governors are looking at the best scenario for administration across the federation and have begun a formal review of school needs and staffing requirements. Please ask if you would like to know more.
We are two Church of England Primary Schools joined together as a federation. Our work is led by our core values: Love, Forgiveness, Trust and Hope. We see these values guiding everything we do with children, parents, staff and visitors.
We are very happy for you to contact us for more information and for you to visit the school.
Please call Mrs Dobson at the school office on 01794 368219 to organise a visit and/or to request an application pack. We can send and receive applications by email.
Ampfield Church of England Primary School and Hampshire County Council are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks along with other relevant employment checks.
