William Gilpin Primary School is a small, caring and enriching school serving the children and families of Boldre, Pilley, Lymington and beyond. A school with heart and soul, a rich history and wonderful people. We have a clear vision for the type of education we want for children - to have an excellent all round experience, to achieve their best academically and to benefit from outstanding relationships across the school.

This is a rare opportunity to join our staff team as a teaching assistant; we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated person to work with our fantastic pupils for 3 days per week. The role would involve providing both 1:1 learning support assistance for pupils with additional needs, as well as working with small groups. You do not need to have worked in a school environment previously, but have the ambition to support the pupils in our school.

The preferred working days are Monday, Thursday and Friday, although some flexibility may be considered around the working hours/days for the right candidate.

We have a reputation in the community as a warm, welcoming school and form excellent relationships with parents and other members of our community. We achieved a ‘good’ in our latest OFSTED inspection (January 2022) and in our June 2023 SIAMS (church) inspection.
