Job/Person Summary

This role will be fixed term working with a named child/children in receipt of EHCP funding. The length of contract will be dependent on the linked child/children.

The successful candidate will:

Love children unconditionally with an unqualified positive regard for all
Protect children’s childhood and value every child so that they value and believe in themselves
Have previous successful experience of working with children
Be able to work within and exemplify our LEAP values and Learning Behaviours
Be a real team player with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude
Have excellent communication skills, relating well to children, colleagues and parents
Have a calm, positive and kind approach
Be able to work independently and with initiative
Be resilient, flexible, organised and resourceful
Have or be studying for NVQ2 or 3 or equivalent
Have good academic skills, with a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade A-C, including Maths and English (or an equivalent qualification demonstrating competency in these areas)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Have an understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures
