Salary Details: Grade B (subject to experience)

Hours of Work: 15 hours per week 09:00-12:00 Monday - Friday), term time (including inset days) plus one week during school holidays

Job/Person Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our two-form entry, infant school based in the Fareham area as an Administrative Assistant. We are a welcoming, inclusive and nurturing school looking for someone to join our friendly team of staff, working in the school office. The successful candidate will act as the primary contact for parents, children, visitors and staff. We are looking to recruit a friendly, committed and well-motivated individual to join our small administration team.

• Who is computer literate with an understanding on using Microsoft Software and ability to pick up new systems quickly (following training)

Responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming visitors and dealing with general enquiries
• Duties associated with dinner monies, trips and other incomes
• Attendance and meal requirements
• Administration of basic first aid (full training is provided)
• Filing, photocopying and general word processing
• Administrative support for teaching staff
• Administrative support for our Woodlands Wraparound Care provision
• Administrative support for the School Nursing Team
• Updating the schools website (following training)
• Archiving in line with the school’s retention policy

Due to the current Finance Officer leaving, we have the opportunity to review our current office structure, which means we are also looking for a Clerk to the Governors and Finance Officer – please see separate adverts.
