Job/Person Summary

Due to an increase in numbers, we are seeking to expand our SEN team by appointing engaging and motivating Learning Support Assistants to work with students maximising their potential and enabling them to enjoy and access their learning.  You will encourage self-help and independence, provide support within formal and informal learning settings and contribute to assessments and reviews.  You will need patience, understanding and commitment, but above all, you will be sincere with a genuine desire to help young people.

As an LSA, you will work under the direction of the SENDCo, supporting students in class as well as delivering 1:1 or small group interventions. You should have a good standard of education, good organisation skills and be IT literate with excellent literacy and numeracy skills. Previous experience in a Primary setting is desirable but not essential.

We will provide excellent induction and training in post and although experience and qualifications will be an advantage, first and foremost we wish to appoint the right person to complement our team.

If this is your first step in your path to become a qualified teacher, we have a wealth of experience in dealing with SCITT, PGCE and the Apprenticeship scheme. As an employer, we recognise talent and we will help you in developing towards this career path.
