Job/Person Summary

St Columba Church of England Primary School are looking to appoint a School Business Manager to be a key part of our new administration team. As our School Business Manager, you will be an integral part of the school office and the broader school team. You will work closely with the Headteacher and be responsible for managing the strategy and operation of the business functions of our school.

We are a rapidly improving school with a new leadership team. We are looking for a forwarding thinking Business Manager to run the business and operations of the school.

In this role you will:

· Give a strategic lead in all aspects of budget, finance, risk management, health and safety, human resources and administrative support services

· Take a lead across the school business and operations function.

· Have responsibility for financial management and fundraising, human resources and payroll, facilities management and health and safety, compliance, administration, catering and IT.

The school joined the Diocese of Chichester Multi Academy Trust [DCAT] in January 2020, this is an exciting time to join the school and be part of our journey. As a School Business Manager in a DCAT school you will benefit from the support given by the Trust Centre team. You will have the opportunity to join the regular SBM Hub meetings and also benefit from the wide range of training and professional development available to all staff in the DCAT family of schools.

The working hours are to be spread ideally over three or four days, during the normal school opening hours. Exact details can be discussed at interview and will be finalised by mutual agreement.

Details of the post:

· This is a permanent post

· This post is Term Time only, INSET Days plus an two additional weeks per year, so a total of 41 working weeks per year.

· 18 hours per week, to be worked over 3 or 4 days, during school opening times, by agreement at interview.

· Start date: Monday 2nd September 2024.

· Salary: Hampshire Grade E to F, dependent on experience.
