Job/Person Summary

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, hard-working, practical, and flexible Site Manager to join our outstanding team.

The role is for 25 hours per week and there may be some flexibility on timings. This will be a 52-week contract with holidays taken during the school holidays.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate: -

· A flexible, positive, practical and efficient approach

· An ability to work independently, using their own initiative, including prioritising workloads and contributing to the needs of the children and the whole school team.

· Have good basic DIY skills including plumbing, painting and carpentry.

· Good communication skills

Main responsibilities will include:

· Ensuring the safe and efficient running of the school.

· Being responsible for site security including the daily opening and closing of the school, occasionally working outside normal hours for school events, including out of hours/ emergency call outs.

· Completing maintenance tasks to a good standard.

· Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the school.

· Knowledge of cleaning procedures and responsible for the management of the cleaning contractors, as there is a cleaning element to the role.

· Liaise and manage a programme of planned and preventative maintenance undertaking minor repairs, maintenance, and redecoration.

· Overseeing the work of external contractors, ensuring standards are maintained, with health and safety being always paramount.

· Carrying out H&S inspections, assessments and compliance checks.

· Fire safety, COSHH, Legionella, Risk Assessments practice experience. (training provided)

· Able to keep records of tests and checks as required, using paper, email and online systems
