Job/Person Summary

Library Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Library Assistant with a love of children’s literature to join our team here at LHJS School. We are seeking to appoint a self-motivated individual to work in our Library for 20 hours per week. We will consider flexible working arrangements to secure the right candidate.

The use of our library and the enthusiastic engagement of the successful candidate will be essential aspects of LHJS commitment to raising the aspirations and attainment of all of our pupils and in additional to managing the day-to-day running of the library (managing stock, displays, loans and subscriptions), you will be responsible for the following child curriculum-focused tasks:

Supervise activities in the library;

The ideal candidate will be competent with IT systems although training in specific library programs and other school software will be part of the induction process.
