Job/Person Summary

Are you looking for a leadership role that will have a positive impact on the children and families in our community?

The wraparound provision at Otterbourne Church of England Primary School, which includes before and after-school care for children aged between 4 and 11, is an invaluable part of our school life.  During this time, children develop important life skills and learn to socialize with children and adults.  For the families in our school community this is a vital support network which builds long-term, trusting relationships.

Are you motivated and enthusiastic, energetic and creative, and someone who delights in seeing children thrive?  We are looking for a Deputy Leader to join our well established and friendly team, to provide leadership and undertake duties such as planning and delivery of activities, administration, financial management and ordering of various resources.

This role has the added advantage of offering almost immediate progression to the Leader role and the possibility of flexible working options.  The Holt is open from 7:45 until 9:00am and from the end of school until 5:30 or 6:00pm each day (term time only).

At Otterbourne Church of England Primary School, we are proud of our inclusivity and have high expectations that all of our children will thrive.

If you are passionate about making a difference to the lives of young children, and have experience in an extended school, school or nursery setting, we want to hear from you!

The start date is as soon as possible or by September 2024 at the latest.  Interviews can be brought forward for the right candidate.

Application Procedure

If you think you are the person we are looking for, we would like to meet you.  Visits to the school are recommended.  Please phone the school office on 01962 712020 and arrange an appointment to suit you.  An application pack including a person specification and role profile are available on request.
