Job/Person Summary

St Edward’s is a specialist and innovative school for boys aged 9 – 18 who experience social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH). Consistently rated by Ofsted as Outstanding or Good.

We are seeking to appoint two part-time or one full-time experienced and enthusiastic Occupational Therapists who are knowledgeable and confident in their practice.

 The ideal candidates will have experience working in schools and with SEN pupils, particularly with Autism and SEMH. Pupils often have associated learning difficulties, including Dyslexia and Dyspraxia, as well as anxiety issues. The candidates will be sensory integration trained and have a good understanding of working with children who have SEMH needs and behaviours that challenge them.

Salary: commensurate to experience. Annual part time pro rata salary is up to £22,413. Annual full time salary is up to £44,826. (52 weeks FTE is up to £51,230).

Contract: Permanent, term time only.


Part time: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Working hours are negotiable.

Full time: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Start date: Negotiable subject to notice/availability.
