Job/Person Summary

The Governors are seeking to appoint a Clerk to join our successful team at Heatherside Infant School from September 2023 with some handover planned in the Summer Term. Full Governing Body and Committee meetings are held in person at the school; mainly in the evenings between 7 and 9pm. There are usually 5 or 6 meetings per term and all the dates are planned out across the academic year. This position involves some working from home in addition to attendance at the meetings, which includes typing Minutes and ensuring all relevant documentation is uploaded, updated and shared on GovernorHub (online shared platform).  This is an ideal professional role for someone who can work a few evenings per year, with the other working hours being highly flexible.

Our Governing Body is a well organised and friendly team and our meetings run professionally and to time!

The successful applicant will

This is a key post in school and one which requires a high level of professional judgement. Full training and support is provided by Hampshire Governor Services in addition to induction offered by the school. Our long-standing Clerk is retiring but will be on hand to help with handover. Our online Hub is well organised and is easy to use!
